Why you will love it?

The idea to sleep in a hotel inspired by the 7 deadly sins could, at first, feel a little awkward... But when this hotel has been created by famous French fashion designer Chantal Thomass, the idea takes on a whole new perspective. It turns a night in Gluttony, Greed, Sloth or Lust into a taste of paradise. Enjoy! Parisianist

Our Insiders' Article

37 themed rooms, based on the 7 deadly sins theme. Each floor is a sin, and each sin has a special decoration. Gluttony is on the ground floor. The smaller standard rooms (Greed, Wrath, Pride and Envy) are located on the first 4 floors, while de deluxe rooms (Sloth and Lust) are on the higher floors and have extra space and a bathtub.

All rooms are equipped with mini bar, TV, safety box, Ipod dock and all the 4 star requested amenities.

Prices range from €91 to €405 depending on period and type of room.

Carefully selected art and objects are inside every room to transcribe the themed sin. Macaroon pillows and cupcake chairs for Gluttony, a shopping diva’s collection of luxury items for Envy, butterflies and birds for Sloth or lace for Lust.

Food & Beverage

There are no restaurants in the hotel for lunch and dinner. Only breakfast is served in the Gluttony themed breakfast area.

The Honesty Bar: Located at the lobby, the guests are invited to create their own cocktails (€12 per drink). Cocktails recipes are available for those who wish to experiment. Happy Hour is on every day from 6 to 8pm.

Recommended restaurants in the area: Jadis (208 Rue de la Croix Nivert / 30 to 60 Euros) and Gastroquet (10 Rue Desnouettes / 25 to 50 Euros), both being French restaurants.

Heaven: The lobby of the hotel’s theme is Paradise. Everything is white, and a pair of large angel wings welcome each customer walking in the hotel. There is no reception in the afternoon, so guests are invited to sit in the lobby and everything is done with an Ipad.

Hell: the basement hammam’s theme is Hell, and with prior reservation, guests can enjoy a full hour in the red and black steam room

Fashion designer Chantal Thomass is famous for her luxury lingerie, but she had always wanted to participate in an architectural event. Thanks to very fortunate encounters, she was given carte blanche to redesign an existing hotel and turn it into a one of a kind 4 star gem. The smallest details have been thought over to perfectly fit the 7 deadly sins theme of each floor, from the light switches to the accessories, making it a unique boutique hotel. The Vice Versa welcomes a lot of Parisians on “staycation”, but the proximity with the Porte de Versailles exhibition hall makes it an original hotel for businessmen attending the international fairs.

Parisianist Tip: The only setback of the Vice Versa is that although it is close to the “Porte de Versailles” exhibition hall, it still is distant from the major Parisian historical, cultural and architectural wonders.

Parisianist Fun Fact: Women usually enjoy the “Envy” rooms while Men tend to prefer the “Lust” theme. Choose your theme (or not and let the Vice Versa surprise you) when reserving.
