Why you will love it?

With the Barrière Group already owning iconic palaces in Cannes and Deauville, where 2 prestigious movie festivals take place, it was time to open their Parisian palace. The Fouquet’s Barrière opened in 2006 on the world famous Champs-Elysées and could be called the Palace of the Silver Screen. It hosts the Cesar Award Gala Dinner (French equivalent of the Oscars) every year and has welcomed countless movie stars. Enjoy! Parisianist.

Rooms and Amenities

The 81 large rooms (the smallest is 37m²/ 400sq ft) and suites are all equipped with the latest technologies to enhance both comfort and beauty. The quadruple glazing isolates the rooms from the busy Champs-Elysées.

All rooms have been beautifully designed by Jacques Garcia with modern looking furniture and decorations, yet keeping the cozy and intimate atmosphere of the hotel.

The in-room mini-bar (soft drinks only) and Wifi are free. Moreover, the Fouquet’s Barrière is the only Parisian hotel that offers a 24h individual butler service for each guest.

Food & Beverage

There are 5 restaurants and 3 bars located in the hotel:

Le Fouquet’s: the old wooden décor of this iconic 1899 restaurant, listed as a historical monument, contrasts with the modern hotel. With the Cesar Awards Gala Dinner (Oscar Awards equivalent) held each year, the Fouquet’s has plenty of cinematographic references, including boards on the walls indicating the preferred tables of great historical French actors.

Le Diane: this Michelin starred restaurant offers a unique feminine and intimate atmosphere as well a great culinary experience brought to you by Christophe Schmitt.

Galerie Joy: the more laid back and casual restaurant with a patio is best suited for a quick and light meal.

La Petite Maison de Nicole: the iconic restaurant in Nice now has a foot in Paris and brings all the fun and friendly atmosphere of France’s southern coast. A wing of the Fouquet’s restaurant is completely changed every night and turned into a young and modern venue serving Mediterranean classics.

Le Café Fouquet’s offers à la carte traditionnal French food with a terrace on the Champs-Elysées.

Bars include the Bar de l’Escadrille (a homage to the aviation pioneers), Bar Le Lucien and Bar Marta.

Spa: Run by Shiseido, a company with 140 years of therapeutic and relaxation experience, the spa covers an area of 750m² (8,073 sq ft) and offers professional massages and treatments

Swimming Pool: A large heated pool awaits in the basement level, and is free for all the hotel guests.

There is a possibility to rent a video crew in order to have them follow you during your discovery of Paris and have a beautiful video of your stay at your departure.

Fitness center: A 50m² room equipped with modern machines, also free for guests.

The story of Fouquet’s Barrière started in 1899 with a restaurant, Le Fouquet’s, an iconic Parisian venue that has welcomed the biggest personalities since the early 1900s. A 100 years later, Diane Barrière, the daughter of Lucien Barrière and manager of the group decided to purchase the restaurant. The idea to create their Parisian palace around the restaurant emerged. But Diane was victim of a tragic plane accident in 1997 and passed away in 2001. It is her husband, Dominique Desseigne, who carried out the dream and made it a reality. The palace was born out of passion and true love.

Parisianist Fun Fact: the Fouquet’s Barrière is the only Palace in Paris run by a French family. The names of the different bars and restaurants (Marta, Joy, Lucien, Diane) are all members of the Barrière family.
