Our Insiders' Article

Villa Madame has 27 rooms divided into three different categories, and one suite with a beautiful patio overlooking the interior courtyard.

  • The classic rooms (around 12m² or 130 ft²) have an Italian-style shower.
  • The deluxe rooms (around 17m² or 183 ft²) are top quality for a reasonable price, and include a bathtub and a coffee-maker.
  • The executive rooms (around 17m² or about 183 ft²) are a little more spacious but offer the same amenities as the deluxe rooms.

The price of a classic room is around €260, depending on the season.

The rooms are all decorated according to the same theme: a subtle and inviting blend of the different facets of the fashion world, very Parisian and classically feminine. There is no mini bar in the rooms (except for mineral water) as Villa Madame prefers the elegance of in-room beverage service.

Food & Beverage

The buffet-style breakfast is made to order for ultimate freshness and is served in the hotel’s restaurant / bar area. It is equally possible to order continental breakfast in your room. Lunch and dinner are not served in the hotel, but there are a number of highly recommended restaurants in the neighborhood just a hop, skip, and a jump from the hotel.

The bar is open during the day and at night for a drink.

For the sporty, the Luxembourg Garden is only a two minute walk from the hotel and is an ideal place to go for a jog.

For those who prefer a little R&R, you can schedule a massage in your room. The massage therapist will arrive with a massage table and a few items that set the mood and transform the ambiance into one of veritable relaxation.

You may also enjoy playing a round of the game of go or indulging in some reading right next to the fireplace in the cozy lobby of Villa Madame.

Parisianist Fun Fact: La Villa Madame puts the emphasis on floral decoration in the communal parts of the hotel as well as in the rooms. Plants fill the lobby and line the hallways, and the garden/patio gets a seasonal makeover.

Villa Madame is situated next to a school (for a few minutes the murmur of children during recess interrupts the side street’s silence), recalling the hotel’s history. Originally the hotel was a boarding school for girls in this neighborhood with an educational legacy (Saint Germain des Prés is one of two historic Parisian university neighborhoods, the other being the Quartier Latin). The building eventually became a 2 star hotel, but in 2007, after some renovations, the 4 star Villa Madame hotel was born, with an intimacy and charm that only a handful of hotels ever succeed in creating.

Parisianist Fun Fact: La Villa Madame gets its name from the street it’s located on, la Rue Madame. Mapped out in 1790 near the Luxembourg Gardens, this street was the meeting place for “Monsieur”, the nickname for King Louis XVIII before he took the throne, and his lover “Madame”, Marie-Joséphine de Savoie.
