Why you will love it?

Le Konfidentiel, a charming boutique hotel of only six rooms in the vicinity of the Louvre, is very aptly named. Open as of October 2010, it is decorated in the theme of French history and is perfect for a romantic getaway. Enjoy! Parisianist.

Our Insiders' Article

Le Konfidentiel has six rooms, one of which is a duplex suite. Each room is decorated according to a particular theme from French history: King of France, French Revolution, Molière (who lived in a building almost in front of the hotel), Marie-Antoinette, Pont Neuf and the Eiffel Duplex.

The rooms, around 25m² (269 ft²) and 33m² (355 ft²) for the suite, have exposed beams, a large bathroom, and all the modern comforts. For optimal privacy, there is only one room per floor. The Duplex and the Marie-Antoinette room are the most in demand, but most charming of all is the Pont Neuf room with low ceilings.

The average price for a room is about €300.

Food & Beverage

Le Konfidentiel does not have its own bar or restaurant. It's possible to have a drink in the lobby or on the patio on the street. The hotel serves breakfast in your room, on the patio, or in a designated space in the basement.

Le Konfidentiel offers a range of top-notch services, including 24-hour reception, room service, car service with a chauffeur, and dry-cleaning. By virtue of its size, Le Konfidentiel does not have a spa or a fitness centre.

Before Le Konfidentiel, the restaurant Le Caveau François Villon stood in its place. It is said that medieval poet François Villon wrote some of his poetry in this area. Across from the hotel is La Fontaine de la Croix du Trahoir. This surprising historic building was built in 1776 by Jacques-Germain Soufflot, the same architect who designed the Pantheon. It was used to distribute water to the Palais-Royal before being abandoned as it was obsolete. Since 2002 it now houses an artists' collective. The road junction across from the hotel was a place used for executions, notably of Lutherans and money-falsifiers until 1698, and later accommodated a torture device known as a “roue de supplice” (the torture wheel) as well as the gallows. L'Arbre Sec (dry tree) is the name of the street and makes reference to a legendary tree situated north of the Persian Empire mentioned by Marco Polo in his stories.
