Romée de Goriainoff, Olivier Bon and Pierre-Charles Cros already had 3 cocktail bars and a steak house in Paris (the Beef Club), but they knew they needed to offer something more. What better way to complement the Beef Club than by opening a fish counterpart, aptly named the Fish Club, right next door? Sounds fishy? Not at all, we say, and the Fish Club has everything to prove that it is fish at its best, with Peruvian influences, served fresh and in a tapas-style way to enhance the conviviality of the atmosphere.

Food & Drinks

If you are still doubting, well let’s be very clear. The Fish Club is all about fish and products of the sea (there is one exception on the menu), but served in many different ways. The specialty, and the best-seller here is the Fish Club Ceviche, a Peruvian specialty made out of raw fish cut in thin slices and seasoned to perfection. The fish or seafood can also be ordered grilled or fried, with 5 side dish options, but remember, all these are tapas-style plates as the Fish Club encourages sharing the plates with the people at the table. Since the Experimental Group is all about quality, the best products are sourced from a cast of all-star local French producers (Alain Deitrich for the Fish, Ismael and Damien Boulon for the oysters). Craft beers, Pisco cocktails and fine wine will surely complement your fish selection.

The team was sent on a pilgrimage to Peru to learn everything there is to know about the food (ceviche) there, but that is not all they brought back from their trip. The laid back and friendly atmosphere of the Andean country is also included within the walls of the Fish Club, but always with a sense of class and style, a trademark of the Experimental Group. The fact that all dishes come in bite sized bits enhances the conviviality and warmth of the venue, with latin music filling the air.


Always drawing a fine line between creating a new and original décor and keeping the Experimental Group’s decorative signature touch, the Group’s acclaimed designer Dorothée Meilizchon has once again set the standards high. The vivid colors recall the prints and pigments of the South American ancient indian civilisations, the Incas, while the choice of materials such as gypsum, mother-of-pearll and sea-shells clearly pay homage to the ocean. The Dorothée Meilizchon signature comes with the choice of 1950’s chic furniture and elements of décor.

Parisianist Fun Fact: the Fish Club used to be a cheese store, and before that, it was a butcher’s shop. On the ground floor, look up and you will see some old meat hooks on a railing.


The international team welcomes a mix of French and International guests that have heard great things about the Fish Club through the press and word to mouth. It is also a restaurant of choice for the people that want to eat late, as the kitchens close at midnight. The quality of the food, the professional service and the great friendly atmosphere have turned the Fish Club into a Parisian reference that people such as Diane Kruger, Robert Trujillo (Metallica’s bassplayer) and Leonardo DiCaprio have already enjoyed.
