When the managers of the brand new Beaugrenelle shopping center contacted Fabienne and Philippe Amzalak (managers of BON and Ma Cocotte), the latter did not hesitate one second to manage what would become Eclectic in 2013. It was as simple as that, just like the encounter with Tom Dixon, which was the obvious man for the job of designing the restaurant’s interior. As a result, Eclectic seems to have been here for decades and has seduced many regular customers in a very short period of time.


The menu is a homage to traditional brasserie cuisine, where the classic dishes are features such as eggs Benedicte, the Croque Monsieur (ham&cheese toast) and the club sandwich. But to be in perfect harmony with the restaurant’s philosophy, a wide variety of other dishes are served, such as a Fish Bar or a Plancha & Steakhouse with a selection done by famous butcher Olivier Metzger. Chef Yannick Papin is in charge of making sure all the products are fresh and good, which is not a surprise as he has worked for Michel Rostang, a renowned starred chef inflexible when it comes to quality.

Parisianist Fun Fact: the veal liver, one of the bestselling dishes at Eclectic, is on the menu as it’s Tom Dixon’s favorite dish.


Couples, tourists, businessmen, young Parisian woman during a shopping spree… to identify a type of clientele makes no sense for Eclectic. Depending on the hour of the day, many different type of people come in and out of the restaurant. Some come for breakfast, others prefer having a drink while staring at the setting sun, it’s as if the whole neighborhood got together here. The English speaking staff is friendly and efficient as all the waiters know the menu by heart.


Tom Dixon designed this area as a bee hive. At the center, the small wooden alcoves will enlighten the lovers or the businessmen looking for a bit of privacy. Here, the marble stones bring a warm touch to the décor, and the concrete columns perfectly match the copper lamps and central tables. In the morning, the customers have their breakfast in mini salons with grey armchairs, whereas party animals prefer to eat their late meal on the terrace or on the blue benches at the rear of the restaurant. At Eclectic, there is a real harmony in the diversity.

Parisianist Fun Fact: the visible pipelines on the ceiling are a reference to the mutating Beaugrenelle area.


An exceptional décor, an enjoyable terrace, a unique ambiance, and all that topped off with great service from a smiling and competent staff: the reasons to go to Eclectic are numerous. But should a meal here be slightly too expensive for your budget, it’s always nice to stop by for a drink before or after visiting the shopping center.
