Open Barbe

September 06, 2013

By Sedrik

We arrive in front of a tiny house in the cute and cosy rue Muller. A good looking brunette greets us and gives us a ticket. She says that she is sorry and that we will have to wait 30 minutes before getting our beard tailored. She then invites us to get a drink in the back yard. Good. On the way to the back yard we see the 2 master beard tailors doing their magic in the living room turned into a barber shop.

In the back yard, only bearded cool looking guys. A bar selling softs and a funky new danish beer (2 and 3 euros). Lounge music playing and a nice decorative wall to top it off. Some guys get their shots taken professionaly in the attending studio after having their beard tailored.

Going back to the living room, we admire the craftsmanship of the barbers. One of them, Alain Barbier, was elected best barber in Paris this year. The queue is too long for us to get our beards tailored, but on the way out, the cute brunette gives us a Biotherm toilet bag with a smile. Overall a very nice afternoon.
