The Long Night of the Museums 2015 will take place on Saturday May 16. Here are 10 great spots to enjoy this unique and exciting event.
Napoléon et Paris, rêves d’une capitale – 7 PM to 10:30 PM
This is the perfect occasion to visit the ongoing fascinating exhibition Napoleon & Paris, dreams of a capital at the Musée Carnavalet, a museum specialized in the history of Paris. During the Long Night of Museums 2015, a special reenactment of this period, complete with costumes, as well as a concert will be held in the museum’s gardens.
Hunting & Nature Museum
« Qui sont les animaux ? » - 7 PM to 8 PM
Videos created by the winners of a video competition based on the theme “Who are the animals?” (Qui sont les animaux?) will be shown at the Hunting and Nature Museum during the Long Night of Museums 2015. Other interesting events will also be held at the museum that night. A perfect place to visit with kids or with friends.

Dance performance by Loïc Touzé – 8 PM to 9 :15 PM
Choreographer Loïc Touzé will be performing modern dances inspired by the artistic world of Picasso.
Une nuit au Musée – video – 9 PM to midnight
Video projections inspired by the Spanish artist will be held both outside and inside of the Picasso Museum. A great way to rediscover the Hotel Salé (the mansion where the museum is located), its architecture and the work of the artist.

Scientific Animations – 6 PM to midnight
Fun and surprising scientific animations will be held during the Long Night of Museums 2015 in various areas of the Musée des Arts et Métiers.

Musée de Cluny
Carte blanche to EnsAD – 7 :30 PM to 11 :45 PM
At the Musée de Cluny, the medieval museum, clothing design students will come revisit the permanent collection dressed in contemporary clothes and accessories. These creations will mark a contrast between our world and the middle ages, although clearly inspired by these ancient times.

Orsay celebrates the movies – 8 PM; 9 PM; 10 PM; 11 PM
On the Long Night of Museums 2015, the Musée d’Orsay will become the most beautiful movie theater in the world. In the central hall, a giant screen will be set up and you will be able to watch some of the world’s first classic movies (Georges Méliès, Charlie Chaplin…). Live music will be played during these projections.

Musée du Quai Branly
Embark on a wonderful journey – 6 PM to midnight
Come enjoy surprises and special discoveries at the Musée du Quai Branly, Paris’ primitive arts museum. During the Long Night of Museums 2015, Eastern will meet Western cultures, with both traditional and modern inspirations. Dances, music, performances, workshops and DJ sets are all part of the event.

Family treasure hunt (age 8 and up) – 6PM to 10:30 PM
Here is a great way for the whole family to discover the fascinating exhibition The Baroque Underworld currently held at the Petit Palais. Kids will play detective and help Jacopo join the painters of baroque Rome.
Out of the paintings – 6:30 PM to 11:30 PM
In the 2 exhibitions currently held at the Petit Palais, The Baroque Underworld and From Carmen to Mélisande, comedians in traditional costumes who seem to be coming straight out of the paintings will animate your nocturnal visit.
Rembrandt, Monet and many more are also found in the Petit Palais. Come see them now!
A different discovery – 6 PM to midnight
Have you ever dreamt of visiting a museum with flashlights? Here is your chance, but you will need to reserve in order to experience this exciting way to discover the museum of Asian arts. In addition, artists will talk about their works and there will be video projections in the auditorium.

See with our hands – 17 PM to 11:30 PM
This workshop will let you discover, with your hands, the life-size reproductions of sculptures and architecture of the Middle Ages.
Engraving demonstrations – 7:15 PM to 11:15 PM
A talented engraving artist will let you in on her secret techniques and knowhow. An interactive and exciting way to know more about this art. You will be able to assist in the making of something special that night.
