Just think about it. A delicious gourmet French dinner with the most amazing views of Paris. Can anything be more romantic?

58 Tour Eiffel: great views, good food at affordable prices from the 1st Floor of the Eiffel Tower

Jules Verne: A 3 star rated restaurant on the second floor of the Eiffel Tower

Ciel de Paris: beautiful views of the Eiffel Tower and the rest of the city from the highest restaurant in Paris on top of the Tour Montparnasse

The sun is setting and the hordes of group tourists have vacated one of the most charming areas of Paris: Montmartre. Now is the time to head out there for an unforgettable romantic moment:

Take a walk through the small streets of Montmartre and kiss in front of the iconic Sacré Coeur Basilica or take a ride on board Midnight in Paris On Wheels’ old 2CV car with roses and champagne included!

A romantic Parisian getaway wouldn’t be complete without a cozy, charming and comfortable hotel. There are many great hotels in Paris, but only a handful would make your romantic stay very special.

The Hotel Particulier Montmartre is Montmartre’s secret gem and truly a romantic haven.

Relive the love that Charles-Simon Favart expressed to his wife Justine in all his plays at the Maison Favart.

At the Grand Hotel du Palais Royal, let your most romantic dreams come true.

A night out to see a show is always a great way to spend a romantic evening, but to make it extra romantic, there is nothing better than going to the Opera Garnier for a classic performance (ballet or opera) or the Crazy Horse cabaret for some glamour. The Opera Garnier is probably the most beautiful building in Paris. Its Grand Foyer was inspired by Versailles’ famous hall of mirror so it can’t get any better than that. As for the Crazy Horse, the sensuality and beauty makes you wonder if Cupid is in fact a choreographer.

Row boats

On a sunny summer day, nothing beats doing to a park. But for a perfect romantic afternoon, head out to the lakes in the Bois de Boulogne or Bois de Vincennes, the two biggest parks of Paris, and rent a rowing boat. Pack something to eat, 2 glasses and a bottle of champagne, and you are all set for 2 hours (or more) of pure delight. Don’t forget your hat though!

It’s not because a restaurant has 1,2 or 3 stars on the Michelin Guide that it is automatically romantic. Instead, why not try these romantic addresses:

Next to the fireplace and under “bob” the deer, the Hotel Particulier Montmartre is clearly the n°1 place for a romantic dinner.

Take a small boat to reach the Châlet des Iles, located on an island in the heart of the Bois de Boulogne, sit by the fireplace and enjoy.

Fancy something off the beaten path? Bustronome is a gourmet dinner on board a luxury bus that will slowly drive by places like the Eiffel Tower, the Louvre or Notre Dame.

The great thing about Paris is that almost all the iconic monuments are visible from the Seine. And a cruise on the Seine is best when done at dusk.

For a private romantic cruise on the Seine, hop on the small private boat of My Paris River and don’t forget the champagne bottle!

Should you want to combine a cruise with a dinner, book a table with Les Bateaux Parisiens, where elegance meets romance.

Romantic spots

Paris has many areas that would make the perfect backdrop for a proposal, a hug or just a kiss. The Eiffel Tower is best seen from the Pont Alexandre III, the most beautiful Parisian bridge or from the Pont des Arts, aka the love locks bridge (although the love locks are being removed for security reasons). Stand in the Cour Carrée du Louvre once the sun has set as it’s the most romantic area outside the Louvre. And as for Notre Dame, stand on the Pont de l’Archevêché (also a love lock bridge) as Notre Dame is far more beautiful from that rear angle. You can always head out to the “I love you” wall on Place des Abbesses, Montmartre or, in winter, hop on the Ferris wheel on Place de la Concorde. Alone with a high 360° view of Paris is not bad for a romantic scenario.

There is something magical about the Paris Aquarium. It’s not only the fish, it’s just the whole dimmed ambiance, perfect for a romantic hour or two. But for that, you’ll need to avoid weekends, and go there at 5:30 pm (the aquarium closes at 7pm, but the latest entrance is at 6pm) to have the area more or less for yourself.

For those that have spent a full day running around Paris, indulge yourself with a massage or spa treatment. Any one of the Parisian Palaces, such as the Meuricethe George V or the Peninsula offer great spa treatments. Other nice places include the Burgundy Hotel, the Fouquet’s Barrière or the Buddha Bar Hotel.
