Our Insiders' Article

Draw Paris lets you discover Paris through drawing. After having chosen the neighborhood that interests you (Montmartre, Ile Saint Louis, Luxembourg or the Covered Passages of the Grands Boulevards), the 2.5 hour adventure starts at a predetermined meeting point. A brief introduction is given about the route and materials are distributed (pencils, sketchbook, eraser, pencil sharpener). Next, you’ll set off on foot to discover the neighborhood with roughly five breaks for drawing. The types of drawings and their difficulty are tailored to the participants and the location. Explanations on the visited areas (history, anecdotes, etc.) are recounted over the course of the walk.

Price: For a rough idea of the price, think €90 for a single person, including the materials and a drink + local delicacy en route. The price will be lower for groups. For exact pricing, send an email to

How: Reservations can be made a minimum of two days in advance by email or by phone +33 6 19 17 47 36. All you need to specify is the number of participants and the route that interests you. Wait for a written confirmation from Draw Paris. Method of payment as well as the time and the location of the meeting place will be communicated to you via email.

Where: There are several classic circuits that let you discover the beautiful neighborhoods of Montmartre, l’Ile Saint Louis, Luxembourg, and in bad weather, the Covered Passages near the Grands Boulevards (Passage Jouffroy and Passage des Panoramas). It is possible to choose another neighborhood if you wish, the feasibility and price of which will be confirmed by email.

Level: Draw Paris’ walks and activities are open to everyone of all artistic capabilities. After all, this isn’t a drawing class. It’s just a playful and original way to get a fresh take on Paris.

Jack, the son of British artists, decided to follow in his parents’ artistic footsteps and enrolled at the Ecole des Beaux-Arts (“School of Fine Arts”) in Paris. Painter by passion, Jack was inspired to share his love for art and for Paris through this original and interesting activity. At the beginning of 2012, Jack linked up with Adélaïde, a painter / video artist who has taught drawing for several years and is always passionate about inventing new ways of seeing and drawing the monuments and life in Paris. They now both lead the visitors through the streets of Paris and share their passion for the city and art.

Parisianist Tip: In order to enjoy Paris, its colors, and its charm to the max, Draw Paris recommends going for your walking tour in the morning.
